My name is Ajay de Gier and I'm 28 years old. I am adopted from India and grew up in the Netherlands. I finished my study, BA - Human Resources Management and worked fulltime in contractmanagement for external hire. I quit my job in August 2024 to start a journey towards the east of the world.

First country to visit is India.

/(Almost) always organized/good planner/structured/also impulsive/clean/neat/good food and beer/ music.

I don't like tourist traps, I prefer doing the less popular kind of activities. I really like hiking or walking through the city, so I can see everything myself when and how I want to see it. I can learn about the culture and make cool pictures. And having company during a walk is a good opportunity for nice conversations.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I started with Couchsurfing during the summer of 2017 when my friend and I were doing a road trip through Europe. We had a wonderful experience and met new people because of Couchsurfing.

The main reason I am using Couchsurfing is to getting to know cultures. Living like the Couchsurfer local gives me a better perspective or the world.

I also think it's amazing to build a global network.

Traveling solo through the United States for two months, and mostly used Couchsurfing for the stay.

I do love music and I play the acoustic guitar and I love to mix music with my DJ controller. For this reason, I think it is especially fun to learn instruments or listen to music.

Also, I played soccer my whole life, so I don't say no to kick a ball! I am open for any sports.
