I have been working as an Associate Professor of English in a commerce college affiliated to Saurashtra University since 1993.I am also volunteering with AFS Intercultural Programs India since 2010.I am a national level trainer of Intercultural Learning (ICL) for AFS India.AFS is a 100 year old not for profit, volunteer driven organisation having world peace as its objective.My son had been to the U.S. on high school exchange program sponsored by U.S. Department of State for Cultural Affairs.We also hosted a German boy at our home for one year.My wife teaches Drawing and Painting in a missionary school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in experiential learning.As a student of intercultural learning I would like to meet people from various culture background.As a tourist we get to see only the surface of cultural iceberg.But by staying in a family belonging to a particular culture we get an opportunity to learn about the values.beliefs and norms that govern the actions of people of that culture. Couchsurfing enables us to improve upon our intercultural sensitivity.
