About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel by bike from Barcelona, Spain to Geneva, Switzerland in 24 days
ABOUT ME
I'd say my life is a bit different than most.
I split my time living in Cleveland, OH (my hometown), Tucson, AZ and Boulder, CO. I train and race full time as a professional triathlete. It is a very consuming lifestyle... but I have other passions. I love to write, especially about my life and the people I've met. I also love drinking beers with good friends, old friends, or new friends. Most of my year is spend training, traveling, and racing. I am busy year round, but it is a very rewarding lifestyle for a kid. Train hard, race hard, party harder. I respect my past and work for the future while living in the now.
PHILOSOPHY
I've spend years getting to know myself through endurance sports.
When everything is stripped away... when you are near total exhaustion... when the mind is completely blank... that is when you learn the most about yourself as a person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting people in any city where I am currently living. This summer I'll be doing quite a bit of traveling on my bike (from Barcelona to Geneva). So, I will be relying on the graciousness of others!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had MANY great couch surfing experiences when I was traveling with my band about 5 years ago. I never knew about this site though. I can imagine it makes it much easier to find a place to stay.
Interests
Running is my first and greatest passion, then cycling, swimming (especially in the open water), traveling, racing(triathlons and road races), writing, drinking with friends or strangers, meeting new people, and I also really love a good pub crawl!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is one of my first passions. I spent years playing drums in a hardcore punk band called Chaotic Alliance. So, early punk rock will always be my favorite.
Also been listening to Jedi Mind Tricks, Outkast, Rise Against, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Pepper, Atmosphere, Iron Maiden, 3 Inches of Blood, Jay Z and T.I. If it has some punk rock attitude, I usually like it regardless of which genre it belongs in.
