About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world, try new things and meet lots of new interesting people and master my French and German!
ABOUT ME
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the US. I moved to Colorado with my family as a teen.
I LOVE traveling, reading, writing, exploring new cultures and learning new languages. I want to see as much of the world as possible! I speak French and English and I have recently begun learning German.
My favorite subjects are history, economics and literature. I love love love learning new things about the past and visiting old places like the castles in the Loire Valley and such. I enjoy all sorts of weather and places, I am very much a chameleon.
I am overall very happy, easy to entertain and highly energetic.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short. You only have one life so live how you like and not just how other people tell you to live. If you want to travel, travel, if you want to work all the time, work all the time. You own your life and you control your decisions. Live life with an open mind and a smile on your face!
Ohhh and my two favorite quotes....
We are still masters of our fate.
We are still captains of our souls. - Winston Churchill
No man is free who is not master of himself - Epictetus
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If I am not available for hosting I am always available for a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, a pint of beer, a lively conversation or an outdoor adventure.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have "couch surfed" all over the globe and all-in-all it has been both exciting and highly rewarding!
Interests
I am very physically active and love nearly all outdoor sports and activities! My favorites are snowboarding, hockey, soccer (as we so lovingly call it in the states), and basketball (I'm tall so that one started as more of a requirement than anything else). I am also a bit competitive so a sure way to get me to try something is to challenge me and tell me I am incapable of doing it.
I also love reading and writing. Though, admittedly I am a pretty lousy writer. I love watching movies and French TV shows. I love driving, exploring and getting lost. I am always down to try new things and if anyone has any questions you are free to ask me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many things! What to say...Snowboarding in Colorado. Hiked mountains over 14,oooft tall. Visited castles in France, fireworks over the Rhine, the Seinne and the Danube...
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: that is a loaded question. What would you like to know? Colorado has some of the best skiing/snowboarding in the world in my opinion....I can teach you some weird phrases in English and French.
Learn: I'd like to learn more about wine, history, different cultures, horticulture, alternative energies and awesome places to go!
Share: Come visit in Colorado...or wherever I am at and we can share a lot of things...I can give you a couch or an extra bedroom to stay in, I can share a homecooked meal, a good conversation, many things!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A love and genuine excitement for life and all of its adventures. I can be your companion on local adventures and explorations. I can share funny stories, intelligent conversations, and great books. I can also lend a hand in housework, or cooking.
