About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm trying to make a through atlas of every place I'll ever need to go, with exactly all the relevant information and nothing extraneous.
ABOUT ME
I have an incredible sweet tooth that I'm always trying to fill without refined sugar and I'm organized past the point where it's reasonable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Like I said, haven't done any upper case CouchSurfing, but I've stayed in a lot of collective houses where for example a friend called a friend who knew someone who lives in the place i just got to, or I bumped into some people on the street who seemed like they ran in the same circles. Once a friend and I went to Colorado Springs based solely on the recommendation of some folks we met in California who gave us the name (not address) of a coffee shop and several people's first names and names of houses. We didn't think it was going to work out at all, but somehow found the coffee shop and within half an hour two of the people we were supposed to ask for were there hanging out and inviting us back to stay a while.
Interests
I really like to be outside most of the time, whatever that entails. I live in the woods and walk among them every day, and regularly go kayaking and sailing or walking on the beach. I'm also really into making things with my hands, and have a ton of half finished crafts sitting around my house at all times.
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of music from blues to punk to atmospheric black metal and godspeed you black emperor.
I haven't seen any good movies lately besides Harry Potter. Koyaanisqatsi is the best one.
Right now I'm reading a lot of natural history, including a book about the island i live on written by someone i know, which is awesome. Also lots of Italo Calvino. Genius.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of san juan county, climb mount constitution. It's not really a climb, because it's not really a mountain, but it's the highest point in the area and you can see everything.
