ABOUT ME
I am quiet and easy-going, up for a good time, but a big fan of relaxing evenings at home with a cup of tea and a good friend.
PHILOSOPHY
"In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt."
- Margaret Atwood
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Some hosting, some surfing, some socializing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had the pleasure of couchsurfing in London and Paris, and several times during my travels in and around the US. I have hosted many travelers at my home in New Orleans. All of my couchsurfing experiences have been extremely positive, and I feel truly lucky to be a part of the CS community.
Interests
I love music, trees, the great outdoors, reading a good book, shopping at thrift stores, random art projects, doing yoga, cooking and then eating delicious vegetarian food, meeting new people, drinking looseleaf tea, bonfires, all-night dance parties, sunset, sunrise, and most of all my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books and music are perhaps two of my favorite things about life. I love to learn about new authors and artists so please tell me about your favorites! Here are some of mine:
Music: Alela Diane, Bon Iver, Iron and Wine, Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Fleet Foxes, Emiliana Torrini, Simon & Garfunkel, and many many more.
Movies: Lost in Translation, Amelie, Before Sunrise, Harold and Maude, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Office Space, Almost Famous, Up...
Books: Ishmael, Life of Pi, Still Life With Woodpecker, all the Harry Potter books, anything by Jane Austen or Ursula K. Leguin or Tom Robbins or Ernest Hemingway or John Steinbeck...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a summer living totally off the grid, no running water or electricity, on an organic farm in downeast Maine.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am really into gardening and growing food right now! I can teach you a bit about growing veggies and herbs, composting, canning/pickling, and making your own herbal teas!
