While couch-surfing excites me, I absolutely hate most aspects of the so-called "social media" including describing yourself in mindless/simplistic terms and telling people about yourself in text boxes. (I like talking to people face to face)

--yes, the irony of this particular text box is not lost on me; I have lost the battle but not the war.
