About Me

ABOUT ME

My name is Andrew, I currently work as a tutor as I finish my degree. Currently, I am looking for a room to rent somewhere in NYC for myself and my girlfriend the weekend of May 13th-15th. I've hosted before, but this is my first time traveling as a guest. She is from the Congo, and speaks 10 languages, including englidh and french.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted friends of friend lots and the first two people, Cori and Milo, were traveling the country using couchsurfing and convinced me to join. I love to host, and I grew up in colorado springs, so I know all the interesting places. I've never hosted a complete stranger from this site, just because I live with room mates and I feel responsible to protect their space.

Interests

Just to keep things simple, I've been spending most of my time recently researching and working on a paper I'm hoping to get publish about socionics. It is a philosophy about personality derived from the work of Carl Jung.

Music, Movies, and Books

Dual Nature of Man by Ausra Augustinaviciute

Man and his symbols by Carl Jung

The world as will and representation by Arthur Schopenhauer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitched hiked all the way to the coast of North Carolina with Jonas during winter. Jonas has a super rad comic with that trip in it. You should really read all of it, but the little bit with me starts here: http://adventuresofjonas.thecomicseries.com/comics/247/

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach:
- How to drive a manual transmission
- How to spin fire poi
- How to make stickers
- Good places around Colorado Springs to hike.
- analytical psychology

And the most impressive thing I can tutor is calculus and differential equations, if happen to need help on your finals.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't mind doing yard work or the dishes. I'm pretty artistic, but this is my finals week and I don't think I will have time to prepare something, but maybe.
