One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once in India, the police tried to get me to bribe them because they knew I was American. They said they were going to arrest me for "robbery" because I was walking down a street at night. I told them I was the Police Commissioner of Bombay's nephew and I needed their badge numbers immediately. They bought me ice cream and asked for forgiveness.
