About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To backpack through Europe by 2018

ABOUT ME

I love Alaska. I can't imagine living anywhere else but that doesn't mean I don't love to travel and meet new people. I've had the chance to travel but am settled down at the moment. I have my son on Tuesday and Thursday's as well as every other weekend so those days are reserved.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd like to leave this world in better shape than when I entered it... by the looks of things i've got a lot of work ahead of me, who's with me?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tell people about this site all the time and have gone to a couple meetings over the years. Now that I'm a homeowner, I'm open to hosting more often and have had the opportunity to host some more people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few times and hosted a few more than that. I've had mostly good experiences thus far (I had an expensive watch stolen by one surfer) and think it's a great site for meeting fun and interesting people.

Interests

I enjoy hiking, biking, road trips, photography, skiing, golfing, frisbee golf, hockey and of course traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've driven from Florida to Alaska on two seperate occasions and I've sailed around the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love meeting people from around the world to broaden my global perspective. I used to think that life was all about the stories you have to share. After realizing that I can't repeat some of my stories b/c people don't understand them, I've changed my perspective. I think life isn't about what you've accomplished but rather who's been there to share in the experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a former tour guide on the AK Railroad so I know all sorts of useless but fun facts about Alaska.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bahrain, Canada, China, Germany, Greece, Guam, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, United Arab Emirates

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
