I'm a student who loves to travel the world. I'm from the United States, but so far I've traveled parts of Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. I'm always looking for new places to visit and new cultures to immerse myself in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that Couchsurfing allows me to get to know a place better. While staying in a hostel or even a hotel is very nice, it limits my exposure to the surrounding environment. When getting to know a place, I think it's people are the most important, and that's what Couchsurfing facilitates.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite musical artists are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ed Sheeran, and Vance Joy, although I enjoy pretty much all types of music.

One of my favorite movies is Remember the Titans, but I have many others that I'd rewatch without a second thought.

I like books by Stephen King (It, The Shining, The Stand) and Dan Brown (Deception Point, Digital Fortress). I also like George Orwell's novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a week canoeing through lakes in northern New York State, camping on islands; total distance: 60 miles.
