About Me

I recently graduated from medical school and started psychiatry residency. I work full time so can only host occasionally.

I chose my field because I think there are a lot of interesting things to think about regarding the mind and cognition, neuroscience, and psychopharmacology. My experiences have led me to want to help reverse the trend of worsening mental health throughout the world. I believe a large component of that problem is the culture and society we live in and that is something to think about and change also. There are ways to improve the human condition and the welfare of the planet, and maybe we all need to understand ourselves and our ecology better to do so, or continue to advance our biological understanding of the brain until we invent a drug that works miracles and makes us all happy, healthy, ethical, and hard working robots :-)

In summary, though I’m a hard-working science minded doctor, I’d say I’m pretty well rounded and like to do things outdoors, exercise, travel, enjoy food, all the arts, meet new people from different countries, climates, hear their stories and range of experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hip Hop, Rap, Jazz, Reggae/Dub, some Pop, Indie, classic rock, Alternative, Techno, Electronic.
I liked the movies Star Wars, the matrix, Wolf of Wall Street, vanilla sky, comedy, Bollywood films. Artistic films.
I have a large library and collect books! I’d say I’m very well read and love talking about favorite authors/books. Lately I have been reading Shakespeare, and some works by Rudolf Steiner and Alan Watts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in 10 days I saw a lot of Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam.
Also the best chocolate and espresso I had and Gianduja in Turin!

Teach, Learn, Share

if you have any curiosity about allopathic medicine I can tell you about it. I like learning about European history. I'd like to learn more yoga or about alternative healing techniques (chiropractic, homeopathic, Ayurveda, naturopathy, tai chi, acupuncture, etc). Also would like to learn more instruments, incl guitar. Sing a song. Do a crazy dance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, drinks.. I cook steak, spaghetti, chicken, vegetarian foods as well as some indian dishes if all the ingredients are there. In general I believe in pooling resources.
