ABOUT ME

im on a the spiritual mystic quest to find god and experience god in all people, experiences, moments, glances...

i write poetry, i study religions, spiritualities, meditation, yoga, and am studying sufism especially! i sing a lot of the time, when i was a baby, i was so loud all night i got the nickname "the town crier", and this summer i got the nickname "radio akbar" - always broadcasting!

im an environmentalist, a social justice advocate, lover of peace, a christian, a jew, a sufist, a buddhist, a hindu - im traveling right now working on myself because it feels good, because the energy is there, because the universe is calling me...

here's a poem i wrote pretty recently:

i have been chipping away at the dam
that dams my self, working away
at the wall that stands before my loving.
all summer long im working and working and working
with a breadknife and a rock.
the ravens are all chuckling about me,
and the wind is whispering in the trees
about my "progress" - all day and all night
the sun and the moon and the stars
are shining me worksongs, each song
is about the arrival of the Friend, the one
who's bringing me lightning and dynamite.

i think we're all one people on one planet - we're all made out of the earth - we are the earth in carnate - the earth is part of the material plane of existence - all matter is condensed vibration - vibration is sound - sound is condensed thought - thought is crystallized feeling - feeling is the song of the soul - the soul is the shining of The Light - which is where we come from ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i tell people about the CS project. i havent surfed yet - its my first time this week! however, i have surfed many couches, just, theyve been people i met face to face first.

ive been telling a lot of people about the project, and i plan to offer a spiritual place to surf in sarasota when the communcal house my friends and i are working on manifests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i did go to a couchsurfing regional party on bainbridge island with some friends - my friend and coworker was couchsurfing all over the island and found some roommates to live with that way! anyhow, we partied and swam in the ocean and had a great bonfire and probably a little too much whiskey ;)
