About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making Art, Raising Puppies (dogs now), Helping Build Community in Anchorage Alaska.

ABOUT ME

I have been a happy vagabond since I was 17 years old.

Whether criss-crossing the country-side, riding the chicken buses through the Guatemalan highlands, or cruising Halong Bay in a motorized junk, nothing sets my soul aright like a fresh breeze on my face.

Some days, I am most happy when I have a paint brush soaked in oil paint, focused on the canvas in front of me. Other days, I find that walking my two dogs into the Alaskan wilderness or along the coast guarantees source of joy.

I tend to be inventive. Rarely does a day pass that I don't invent some thing, system, or tool in my mind. I sure could use a materials engineer and a venture capitalist to bring one or two of my innovations into the world.

I enjoy a diverse array of people, but eschew group think. I also find great joy in solitude as well as in a crowd.

PHILOSOPHY

Here is just one:

If there is any way I can help, please tell me. I may only pass this way once.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am glad to be helping with the fundraising systems of couchsurfing. It is a great project worth much support.

While I have only once found an open couch when I was travelling, I have hosted several people and really enjoy providing what comfort I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have both hosted and slept on couches at different times in my life.

The year I turned 18, I toured the US with friends until I "fell in love". At that point we criss-crossed the country from Ashland, Oregon to Peaks Island, Maine, enjoying the kindness of strangers.

Interests

Art, current events, my dogs, walking my dogs, conversation, making and eating food, travel, internet research, did I mention art, movies-especially at home, snow sculpture, painting murals, many many things.
