ABOUT ME

I have been born and raised in Canada but I'm originally from India and my great parents moved to Tanzania generations ago so the rest of my family is from all over Africa.

I love learning new things about any topics from history to culture even sciences and I believe that the more people a person meets, the more their biases and stereotypes are corrected and stopped. I am also a travel addict. I started four years back and can't get enough of it.

PHILOSOPHY

In the words of Samuel Johnson “The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are. “ By meeting other people, being exposed to different cultures and different ways of thinking we can better understand the world.

My personal philosophy is not to think about life lol! So far, I have just laid back and let life take me wherever it decides and I just try to walk away from everything trying to learn something new or gain a new experience. As a result I have traveled in some amazing places, met some great people and found opportunities that no one else would've ever found.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently trying to use couch surfing and use it to travel Europe. Once I return back to Toronto I am planning on becoming a host where I can help travellers who would like to come to Toronto and not spend a fortune. Until I get back and host people, I am giving donations to help support the site.

I have had no couch surfing experiences to date but I'm looking forward to a few great experiences!

Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, Classical, Rock, you name it I like it in terms of music. Books, anything about history, science and especially comic books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Although I have travelled a lot of places, the most incredible place I have ever been to is the Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania. It was made a UNESCO Heritage site in 1979 and with good reason! In this wildlife reserve I was lucky to see animals such as Black Rhino's, Lions, cheetahs and so much more in their true habitat and not behind cages. It is still to day, one of the greatest things I have ever seen.

Other than this, one of the few really amazing things I've done is I've gone sky diving from over 5000 feet. It was an incredibly scary experience but it was a was a heap of fun. I would love to do it again sometime in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well generally I have a very strong understanding of Canada, Indian culture. In addition, I can share all the information that I have learnt about various cultures and people while travelling.

What I would like to learn from people is everything! Whether it's a better insight into a job or responsibility, information about the politics and government in the country and especially more information about cultures.
