About Me
Hi you!
My name is Akemi but foreign people usually call me May.
I'm a Brazilian girl who got dragged to Japan when I was 15 and have been living here ever since!
A real bookaholic, crazy for animals, adrenaline and adventure but also enthusiastic of doing nothing and unique random moments! I'm seriously up to anything and have fun doing the most different things so don't worry.
Let us know if you would rather stay home Netflixing or go out partying so we adapt our plans so everyone can have fun!! Wether you are a “Let's hang, Become Friends And I'll Show You The Whole City” kind of person to “You Are Only Crushing At My Couch”, you will be contributing for me to have an amazing trip and experience so, have you done your good deed of the day? :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a travel freak but sadly a broke one! haha jk butthen I found couch surfing! Combine this fun experience with meeting people all over the world? Awesome!

Music, Movies, and Books
Love anything related, from classics to pop culture.
Passionate about books, I have read Harry Potter like 7 times (yes the whole collection) but gladly this phase has already passed and now I enjoy any book I can put my hands on.
Tv Show freak, I have watched or at least started to watch any Tv show that has hyped in the last 6 years or so but surprisingly enough I still find the time to actually live a life! (Not so much time to sleep though).
I completely love music, any kind (almost) and from many different countries! But I often get sick of my entire music library so I explore some new themes ou listen to some podcasts which I also love.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending the last summer in Boston with my money, which I worked for during an entire year. It was a real lifetime experience that changed me a lot and helped me to choose the path that I'm going to follow for the next years with college, major, profession and it all. To all of those that were involved, thank you so much <3
Teach, Learn, Share
Coming from one cultural extreme (Brazil) to another (Japan) I think I'm pretty easy to talk to abou pretty much anything, I love to get to know new cultures and ways of living as well as I like to share what I have learned so far. Not a great teacher but certainly a great sharer and listener!
I’m also a pretty ok photographer! I can take some nice pics of you, your house or any place we go!
What I Can Share with Hosts
And I also know how to cook! From Brazilian to Mexican, Japanese or Indian so if you wanna trade a little of your house for some well intentioned meals...
