About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To eliminate my dependency on having a set place to live, and with it a set lifestyle. I would like to become one of those people I envy, the nomadic types who get the urge to see a place and they simply go.

ABOUT ME

I'm in my mid 20's. Sometimes I act like I'm 12. Other times I act like I'm 40. I'd like to figure out how to just act my age, without too much or too little responsibility. I believe I am in the midst of what could be a short-lived time of having no one depending on me. I would like to take advantage of the freedom that allows through travel. My goal in traveling is to meet as many people as possible, to see any place I have the slightest desire to see, and to hopefully find some direction for the future.

My current directions in life lead me to activities up to and including; roller skating, dancing as often and as flailingly as possible, writing (not often enough), reading (possibly too much), making fantastic hair adornments using excessive amounts of hot glue, hobby level photography and a handful of other hobbies that I either can't think of or do not wish to disclose on this public forum.

Got a question? Ask me. 9 times out of 10, I tell the truth.

PHILOSOPHY

I have no idea how to answer this right now.

Let's try....

"Dance first, think later"

... no, too hallmark.

"Shit or get off the pot"

... too aggressive.

"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

... don't even know what that means.

"You break it, you buy it."

Yup. That's the one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been to a solid handful of CS events and have been making friends in the CS community for some time. It's almost embarrassing that it has taken me until now to sign up. I would hope to be involved in organizing some future events; I even have some half-cocked ideas for road trip fundraisers....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed on couches in Portland, NYC, Boston, Washington D.C, L.A., and a handful of European locations. Some experiences have been with family and all have been with friends. I couldn't pick one experience over the others any more than I could stop myself from seeking out more experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

too many too many too many. Also really boring both in the listing and the reading of the list. Let's save the books, movies, music convo for one of those face-to-face moments where the conversation falters and you have no other fall back topic.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ohhh I can teach roller skating, sewing, general crafting skills, editing, business writing, makeup application (i know its weird but i used to be a makeup artist), and probably a few other things. I hope my library of teachable knowledge isn't actually limited to that sad little list.
