ABOUT ME

I have a home in Haines, Alaska, which I share with my 3 children. We live a subsistence life style by hunting, fishing, growing, and harvesting. We also have goats and chickens. I live in a beautiful area and love to show people some of the special places around here.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to keep things simple. I like to be around people who always see their cup as half full, or better yet, all the way full. I believe life is what you make it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a young German couple in a local bar one night and saw them hitch hiking out of town the next night when I was at the grocery store with my daughter. I told them they should come stay with us, and leave town in the morning. My daughter was wide eyed. I told her, "Don't worry, they are really nice people, I met them in the bar last night". She couldn't believe I was bringing people home from off the street. We had a great experience with these people, and we are all still friends on Facebook. The man will even be coming back to Haines and we will see him again this spring. I have just now joined CouchSurfing, and look forward to more good experiences.
