ABOUT ME

I am a self-employed personal trainer and enjoy helping people attain their health and fitness goals. I have lived in Alaska for over 20 years of my life and I love it! One day I would like to give up all comforts of home to become a vagabond and travel the globe uninhibited. I realize my passion for travel each time I talk to someone who has been somewhere I have not. I can't wait to experience different cultures around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. I love diversity and meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds, learning from differences makes me a better person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently do not host, but have surfed with some cool people so far. Although I have not had a ton of experience with couchsurfing, the few I've had were so rewarding that I felt obliged to donate money to the cause and will continue to do so. The people I have met through this site are some of the most generous and inspiring people in the world, I'm thankful to be a part of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We couchsurfed in Maui Feb. 2008 with Nick and Joe. We were only supposed to be there a week, but were having so much fun we extended our trip another week. The guys made sure we had an awesome time and set up paragliding and kayaking trips for us and took us out to dinner several times as well. We definitely reciprocated by cleaning up, cooking and buying them dinner as well. Overall, it was an amazing trip and we now have some amazing friends in Maui!
We met a fantastic couple, Shelly and Kendall while we were there too!

May 2008 we had Alex stay with us for 2 days in between his travels all over AK. I enjoy meeting new people this way and have found that everyone is generous and excited to get to know you.
