About Me

CURRENT MISSION

FuFu y Chucu Chucu Chucu Chucu!!!

ABOUT ME

I am a very curious person. I love art, reading, learning, talking, party... Of course, I love traveling. I enjoy nature, going camping, animals, rivers, mountains... And I also like big cities, movement, going out to bars, out for a drink, walking around... I practice Aikido.

I worked for several years in Argentina's National Space Agency, with satellites data and images: that was really cool!

PHILOSOPHY

Be optimistic, humble, curious, learn and share, share, share: then you will be happy, confident and you will meet wonderful people!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is part of myself. Of what I think and I am as a person.

I hosted a lot during University years, but now I live with my girlfriend in a small house, in a neighborhood that is far from downtown. So it is not easy to host now.

I'm a pasive member of the CS Group of my city, Córdoba. It has very special people.

I've also traveled a bit...

I started in Hospitality Club (http://www.hospitalityclub.org/hc/travel.php?cid=akhorus) but that doesn't seem to be working now...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted several people in my different houses. I always enjoyed it. Once, I met a guy who didn't stay at home but wanted me to show him around in my city. We went out for a couple of beers that week!!! Afterwards, when he was at his home, he made me understand he is gay and he liked me!!!

Once, a french buddy hosted 5 of us in a wonderful place by the mountains.

Interests

So many things!!! I am very curious, so I like to see, do, learn and experience whatever is new for me. The things I enjoy the most are those that I still don't know.

I love reading, in English and Spanish. I have lot's of books!!! And since my gf gave me the e-reader, I haven't seen much daylight ;-)

I'm very serious about practicing Aikido.

Some other interests at the present time are good beers, theater, traveling, computers and technology, martial arts, oriental arts and philosophy...

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: lots!!! I read a lot and love it. I prefer reading good literature but I also read best sellers. I love to read in english and I wish I could read more in French...

Old time favorites are Tolkien books.
I enjoyed reading Harry Potter, Eragon, A song of fire and Ice, Dune and that kind of amusing fantasy books (I recommend "La saga de los confines" of Liliana Bodoc).

I loved some Japanese-culture related books, such as Shogun, Tai-Pan, Musashi...

Still, I read and have read a lot of Latin-american literature, some of my favorites being García Marquez, Isabel Allende, Cortazar, Piglia...

Music: Rock. Psicodelic, trip-hop, jazz, fusion, electronic tango, dub...
Radiohead, Pink Floyd, A Perfect Circle, Calamaro, La vela Puerca, No Te Va A Gustar, Rock Nacional (argentino), Manu Chao, Calle 13, Emir Kusturica, Elysian Fields, Morcheeba...

Movies: Action, adventure, epic, fantasy, animation, martial arts, anime... Not too academic in this area ;-)

Stayed in Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert for a couple of days.
Visited Paris with my girlfriend.
Worked in a space agency (we launched a satellite!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Develop your empathy. As a fellow Couch Surfer, Chris, said to me: "This is a key concept in nonviolence,
culture for peace. to empathize is to humanize and
leads to compassion."

Don't stay a someone's place for too long: some people have difficulties telling you that they wish you to go!!!
