The little bit about being a Betsy:

I was born on a farm where we could pick our food as it grew and eat it right there in the field. We had acres and acres to run free and play and my imagination took full advantage of that. But, even though it sounds a bit romantic, it also taught me how to work hard and be diligent. Every year we would have students from all around the world come work with us and they awoke in me a burning curiosity for places I’ve never been. Since then I’ve been doing everything I can to seek new experiences, see new places and, most importantly, meet new people.

Things I enjoy include, but are not limited to;

long conversations with new people,
dancing around fires with a million stars overhead,
hot saunas on chilly nights and jumping into cool lakes,
eating scrumptious food whose ingredients I am unsure of,
hearing stories of inspiring acts by strong people,
drinking a few beers and hearing about how your grew up,
bringing people together and being a conduit for new friendships,
a good long laughing session,
wandering through forests,
smelling flowers,
listening to the sound of water crashing against the shore,
discovering new perspectives that challenge and change mine.
