I play music and with my upcoming travels I hope to meet fellow musicians and collaborate while out in a different place in the world.

I don't think this life is a preliminary for something else. Create your own happiness/heaven and live life on your own terms. Learn from everyone everyday. Create your own meaning.

I play in a band so I have slept on a couple couches. I've also went to Copenhagen and loved couch-surfing there. one of the best experiences I've had.
