Hi, I am Aki, I currently moved to London because I got accepted to University.

Making new friends all over the country is the huge reason why I do it.

I guess because I grew up in both Australia and Japan it has lead me to being curious about other cultures.

I also recommended it to my family and they love it and even got my Mum hooked !!

I eat plant based diet (VEGAN) and try my best to live an ethical life style. but I am really flexible about living with people who are not vegan or vegetarian :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I worked at five star hotel for long time but I am more interested in couch surfing than staying at a nice hotel room with staff discount . Through CS you have a opportunity to meet someone new who may have the same interest as you or can be completely different and still being able to build a great friendship. Also because I am always travelling overseas by myself it just makes it a better experience.

Meeting a local person makes a HUGE difference when visiting a new county. Sure, you can get a good travel advice but it's so much more interesting observing a new life style in a another country by actually staying at someones house.

I love to cook for my guest so if you are interested in trying Japanese food/vegan please let me know and I'll try my best :)

I would really love to invite my CS host to visit my parents house in Japan or in Tasmania too :)

I've been working at a skiing resort for past 3 winter season in Niseko, Japan. I'm a very keen skier and did a season as an instructor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping during New Years Eve in Tasmania with group of people who I've just met through a good friend and by the end of our hard core camping trip we all became such a good friend.

We did total of 3 different types of multi day hike camping.

I thought I would never have the energy to complete it but mentally change about what my limits are and felt satisfying doing something out of my comfort zone.

It just made the whole trip so memorable..
