Hey guys and gals, my name is Kristian, I'm 27 years old and currently living in Bend Oregon. I work in Foresty in the summers and do construction, ski, or generally adventure in the winters. I strive to be a well rounded person, loving physical challenge but being equally as excited about getting deep in a good book or practicing guitar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a Wildland Firefighter and just completed my first year on a hotshot crew. I was able to save up some money and I'm ready to journey. About to leave home and travel the west for around three weeks. I hope to do some biking, do some skiing, play music, and generally explore and meet cool people. I would also like to host some adventurous interesting people when I'm back in Oregon

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste changes with all these things, and its kinda hard to put to words. In books and movies, basically anything with great story telling. I think good art should sum up something profound about the human condition in a simple easy to access way.

I listen to alot of bluegrass, folk, and country music, but i like it all!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Right after college I received a grant to make a documentary film. The film "Pilgrimage to Cascadia" is about artists in the Northwest US and the question of how place and space affect creativity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been a musician for 13 years and am comfortable giving people basic music lessons. I am also a reasonably good cook. I would like to work on my Spanish skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a good sense of humor and love to laugh. I can also share tales of what its like to be a forest firefighter. I'm bringing a nice camera along so if you needed basic photography / video taken I could also do that.
