ABOUT ME

I'm a bookworm who loves to dig in the dirt, do (attempt) crossword puzzles and let my three dogs take me for a walk. I studied journalism and art history in college and love reading about new places and then exploring them for myself. I'm not happy unless I get to travel somewhere new, or at least rearrange my furniture, every couple of months. Okie and proud of it.

Interests

Reading, gardening, pinning. Some of my favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, Bill Bryson, Elizabeth Hand, Virginia Woolf, Sara Waters, Brontes. I also love biographies and histories of everyday objects. I love cooking and have a giant pile of recipes torn out from magazines that I need to get to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Touching the walls of the Coliseum in Rome where ancient everyday people went to be entertained.
Walking in the French Quarter in New Orleans and being invited into total strangers homes to join their Mardi Gras parties. Nothing like Southern hospitality!
