Pure-blooded Zambaleno. Food is life. Photography, dance, music, writing and theater performances make my blood run. Bookstores and libraries are heaven.

Blue is love. Simplicity is elegance. Loves shirt, shorts and shoes.

Passionate in issues on indigenous peoples, women's rights, students' rights, and the plight of the farmers. Right to land and self-determination. National industrialization. Development and environmental sustainability.

They say i am funny and cool. I say, I am just being me. Can crack jokes but I cannot guarantee that they are funny. Hey, at least I tried.

Positivity is my life gem. I've always believe that life will never be easy and smooth-sailing. But as long as we see every trials are mere challenges, then everything will be great. Always look at the positive things in life. Look at the silver lining. Life is great and happiness is a state of mind.

"As humans, we hurt, we suffer; but we can transcend these and become invincible as long as we are alive and possess the will to remain so."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people though I may seem cold at first meeting.

Yes, I still have no place of my own so I cannot accept guests. But I am a nice guest. I can prove that to you.

I believe you can travel and spend less. And this is one way of doing so.

So there, meeting new people while travelling. I guess that's what life is all about.

Interests

I've always loved writing. My thoughts are perfectly elaborated into a paragraph of words. I have my own blog where I keep all my works and stories. I feel that when life turns out not the way you want it, then you can make a new world. Escape into the world of imagination and create your own world, your own characters and consequences. It's a bit escapist. But I guess, sometimes, we need to escape reality so we can be happy.

This interest transcends to editing videos and writing short films. I want to immortalize a feeling and a situation through visual forms of media. Something marvelous to the eyes and close to the heart. I want people to feel the pain of a loss, joy of success and the happiness of loving and being loved.

Music is life. Singing. Dancing. Performing. Songs flow through my veins seeping deep into the world I call passion. There is something about music and dance that makes one happy and alive. Your day may be dull but there is one certain melody that can either make everything colorful or complement your mood. Life is one big theater performance. Every one is dancing for survival. They are singing their life songs.

I am a nature lover and I want to capture it's beauty through photos. However, I am not adept with photography tools - DSLR and all that. I have my phone and I am good with it. I love capturing candid shots of people and peculiar wonders of nature.

Hence, my love for conservation of nature and environmental sustainability amidst development. I believe that development and protection of natural resources can go hand-in-hand as long as people brush off their greed for profit. As long as the rights of people are taken into consideration, then life will be harmonious for everyone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love instrumental music as it pierces through my soul. There is something about an instrumental music that captures my heart in awe. It is pure music for me - no voice, no lyrics, just pure melody and perfection.

I also love songs that tackle success and love. Those kind of songs that can uplift your mood when you are down. Sometimes, I also feel like listening to songs of pain and suffering as it can complement my mood. During cool moments, I love listening to hiphop songs and just dance and strut to the beat.

Similar to my interest in songs, I love movies that tackle love and success. Being a social science graduate, I also love songs that tackles the current socio-political situation of the country. Movies about the plight of the LGBT, the farmers and the students. Movies, I believe, should be an eye-opener and a new lens to see the world. Some movies I always watch are New Year's Eve, In Pursuit of Happiness, etc.

If there is one author I look up to, it would be Mitch Albom (Five People You Meet in Heaven, Tuesdays with Morie, First Phone Call from Heaven, basically all his books). As I have once dreamed of being a lawyer, I also love reading John Grisham books - The Pelican Brief, The Chamber, The Innocent Man, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

#ProjectHappiness360 #PH360

Started as Merienda 360 Project, this cause I started last June 2016 envisions to gift snacks to random people I meet to and from work. The streetsweepers or the beggars or anyone I feel needs to have a snack.

With the motto "Sharing happiness to everyone, everywhere, everyday", it is my dream that everyone shall do their own share in making other people happy every day in any way.

Ever since college graduation, I felt that the responsibility of giving back and paying it forward has already been vested on me. As a graduate of the University of the Philippines, my tuition was subsidized by the people's taxes. Hence, I am responsible to serve the people in anyway possible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach.
I can teach them Filipino words like Mahal kita ( I love you), Mag-iingat ka (Take care), Magandang umaga (Good morning) and a whole lot more of nice Filipino words. I can also teach them some dance moves and Filipino songs.

Learn.
I basically want to learn their culture. I have always been amazed on how one world can be a reservoir of multitude of cultures. From how to greet and how to behave in public up to their values and traditions. Learning new language and native dishes would be great, too!

Share.
My positive vibes, movies, songs. I can share my story in the hopes of inspiring them .

What I Can Share with Hosts

Primarily, I can share happiness. I am a jolly and very talkative person if you get to know me well. I will make sure we will have a great time if we get along just fine.

I can share my knowledge in music, arts and the social sciences.

I can share my stories in the hopes of inspiring every one and making everyone everywhere happy everyday.
