About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Planning to tour Europe come this summer (07)
ABOUT ME
Most of my identity has been formed through radical youth empowerment conferences and other loving and open communities. I attempt to be humble and understanding, and not take myself too seriously. I hope to be self-sufficient in most of the things I do, and love skill-sharing.
PHILOSOPHY
"Not all who wander are lost."
-J.R.R. Tolkien
And, of course, my favorite quote by Rilke:
"Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day. " -Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I'm using CS2 to create a tour of Europe.
Interests
My interests balance between a fascination of modern technologies and an appreciation of simple lifestyles. Sustainable technologies, Do-It-Yourself culture, social organizational structures, etc.
My less than noble interests include obscure references (ie: George Lucas referencing Tolkien referencing the New Testament), Boggle, strategy games and street art.
I'm also fond of baking and dessert making.
