ABOUT ME

I'm a grad student working on a dissertation in U.S. history in the late-19th/early-20th century, so whenever I hear the word "Roosevelt" I usually think "Theodore" rather than "FDR". I was born and raised in Manhattan but I love living in D.C. My husband and I live in a great neighborhood called Columbia Heights.

I guess we will see how this works out. I'm hoping that couch surfing will help make a couple of research trips I need to take go smoothly. Generally with enough notice I can have coffee or a drink with someone here in D.C. and point you towards some interesting things that are not on the usual tourist agenda.
