Overview
About Me
I’m Akram, originally from Syria and currently based in The Hague. I studied architecture, which shaped the way I see cities, not just as buildings, but as living spaces shaped by memory, history, and the people who inhabit them.
Today, I work in documentation and narrative projects that preserve memory and support justice.
Travel, for me, is about people more than places. I love conversations that wander from history and politics to music, food, and everyday life. I enjoy meeting locals, understanding how they see the world, and sharing my own experiences.
I’m calm, respectful, curious, and adaptable. Years of moving between cultures have taught me how to listen before speaking and to appreciate small human moments.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am here to meet people, not just find a place to sleep. I love sharing meals, having good conversations, and discovering a city through the eyes of someone who truly lives there. The moments you won’t find on any tourist checklist.
