PHILOSOPHY

I should be able to change my mind, plan a group project, butcher what I meant to say, conn an adventure, design a large art, write what I'm feeling, balance my lifestyle, build a relationship, set a stage, comfort a friend, take inspiration, give inspiration, cooperate, act alone, solve puzzles, analyze a new puzzle, pitch an idea, program a robot, cook well for a group, fight when necessary, die memorably. Specialization is for automata.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I have my own place, I love hosting (both through this site and by Word of Mouth). It keeps my wanderlust a bit sated, hearing about others' travels!

When on the road I love surfing because I get to experience the world as a local instead of a tourist - meeting interesting people, finding secret places, and adventuring.

Exercising a combination of intuition and ingenuity to make things, solve problems, climb on everything, become flexible in mind and body, travel impulsively, find trouble (and get out of it).

An example: I fixed my hand-mounted flamethrower with bubblegum, a ziptie, and the ace bandage from my sprained ankle. I am absurdly pleased with these desenrascanço moments.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Icebergs while sailing in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. You simply can't tell from a photo, but these floating, ice islands are magnificent and awe-inspiring. Add to that that a little 2m bergybit could capsize our boat and... intense.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I love physical activities, and will gladly play around trying random acrobatics with anyone who doesn't mind a few bruises if we mess up! I especially would love to learn/improve Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, Swing dancing, and handbalancing.

I'm a mechanical engineer and make things all the time. If the resources are available, I love collaborating and teaching fabrication and design.
