ABOUT ME
Someone with a sense of adventure, I like to explore new places and meet new people. I'm keenly interested in self development and view travel as somewhat of a spiritual experience. Always up for a a bit of a party, I don't mind quietly relaxing either. Not in your face, I don't judge people on externals and am cool with anyone as long as they are a decent human being.
PHILOSOPHY
I live life because it's FUN! If you're not having fun what's the point? Life is just a ride and is here to be enjoyed. I tend to be fairly minimalist and only expend energy on things I feel are worthwhile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just getting started with CS, up for meeting people and fostering global unity.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have randomly met and stayed with a number of people, and have put people up randomly throughout my travelling experience. Nothing officially through CS.org so far but I think it's a great idea and a good way to do that kind of thing!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love books, too many to list. On the fiction side I particularly enjoy scifi/fantasy stories, dystopian futures (eg Brave New World, 1984 etc) and occasionally historical period settings. Also really enjoy philosophy and instructional books, and I enjoyed "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" immensely. Love all kinds of music, ranging from Classical and Jazz to Rock and Reggae to House and Trance/Electronica. As a musician I enjoy playing the piano and composition.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have gone skydiving, SCUBA diving, nose diving into snow! (snowboarding), seen the temples of Japan in Kyoto and Hiroshima (Miyajima), jumped off 15m high waterfalls and yet there's still so much more to see and do!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have read, seen and experienced a number of things so far in life, but I still feel like a student not a teacher! Able to teach some info about computers, and give some pointers to beginner snowboarders, I also have done a lot of research into healthy living through nutrition and good food. I also speak Japanese at an intermediate level and have had some experience teaching languages. I am interested in further development including areas such as wilderness/survival training (bushcraft, etc), healing and spiritual practice.
