About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn about different ways of life and experience different cultures
ABOUT ME
I'm a young professional in Washington, DC. I'm from Texas and have lived in DC for about 4 years.
PHILOSOPHY
Be nice to people and believe in Karma. Life is too short to just sit around and let it pass you by.
I believe that we should seize the opportunity to explore as many things as we can and be careful not to slip into a life of monotony and routine. I know it's easier said than done in many cases, but I just hope that more people out there can lead lives where they take chances and step out of their comfort zone, that's one way we can grow as individuals and understand each other more.
In my life, I try to be respectful, open, and friendly. My goal is to experience as much as I can while I still can. CS has been a great way for me to do just that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By opening my place up to fellow surfers and trying my best to show them a great time while they're here. I find that an excellent way to settle into a new place is to simply seek out other surfers around and in no time, I'm with people who I feel like I've known my entire life. There is something really refreshing and vibrant about the CS culture. The friendliness, the outgoing nature of surfers, the ability to connect and to share different cultures is what I love most about this network.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My CS experience has been unbeatable. I've met the nicest people from all over and it's one of the few places in my life where I can walk into a room almost anywhere in the world and sit down and chat with people as if we've been friends our entire lives.
Interests
I love discussing politics, especially with those who hold beliefs different than my own. Calm and civil discussions about a wide range of ideas and subjects are always a great way to learn more about others, their beliefs, and cultures. I don't like it when things get unnecessarily heated, if your ideas hold up on their own, there's no reason to approach discussions with anger or hostility. We're all here to learn and we can learn the most from the people who don't agree with us about everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Eaten breakfast in a cloud in Nagarkot, Nepal
Teach, Learn, Share
I can speak a decent amount of Arabic and I'm not too bad with the Levantine dialect. I'm always interested in meeting other Arabic students and speakers!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My knowledge of the Middle East, the ability to cook a few of my favorite dishes, making an incredible cup of coffee, and listening ear for fantastic and deep conversation.
