About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Living In The Moment!

ABOUT ME

I believe anything is possible! We when fall, we get our asses back up, stand our feet and take the next step towards something beautiful, ugly, unpredictable, spontaneous and true.

I have longed to be free and travel without major expectations, to have the ability to connect with a variety of people and share my experiences.

I am organized, compassionate, determined, willing to compromise within my means, I value you, my family, the earth and life as an ultimate journey of learning, acknowledging and actualizing.

I grew up on a farm in Eastern North Dakota with three awesome sisters, one of which is my twin. After high school, in 2000 I moved to Minneapolis to pursue an education in Photography. In 2003 I moved to the Fargo, ND area to help my twin with her first child. After three years I moved to Gillette, WY for three months to make a little more money and have a change of scenery, it was there I decided to move to Eugene, Oregon. My oldest sister moved out to Eugene, Oregon in 2004 and I visited her over Thanksgiving, while seeing a glimpse of what Eugene had to offer and I started preparing for my move.

I moved to Eugene in August of 2006, then went home to Fargo from April 2007 to September 2007 to help out my twin with her two kids and came back out to Eugene to begin enjoying this beautiful area once again.

I've met amazing people since I came back out here. Now, I have my backpack packed and I am seeking exploration in place that I have never been to. I am soul searching, reaching out to places that are unfamiliar territory and looking forward to learning and telling stories.

I certainly feel I'm on this journey to learn things about myself and the rest of the world. Even though I have left behind some important possessions, I feel that I can survive with the bare minimum. I have been downsizing my "things" for three years and now I am here. Sometimes detaching ourselves from material things for a time can give us an opportunity to see what is really important, to understand how our lives are with or without things. The most important part of my journey is growth and social interaction.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything we need to survive is provided for us.
Decide to be happy, and you will be happy.
There's always a better way.
I'm optimistic.
It could be worse, it could be better.
I believe in Karma. I feel my life is only at the beginning to more wonderful interactions and lessons.

Interests

Photography, guitar, music, taking the road less traveled and being involved in creative things and events.

I've been practicing photography for over ten years and this last year has been an amazing creative journey. My niche comes with "living in the moment". Candid expressions, time, place and lighting are the opportunities I enjoy capturing.

I have also been playing guitar off and on for the last 11 years. With still so much to learn I enjoy sitting and just letting feeling and emotion run through my fingertips to the instrument. I would say I enjoy listening and watching other's play more than I play.
I like to also write poetry and write blogs. I'm detail oriented with a photographic memory, and I try to express certain things into writing. But, I also use it as a way to get things off my chest.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fan of Bill Murray movies and some of the first SNL crew members. My favorite movie I would say is Harold and Maude. Music, all of it at least one point in time! Mostly folk, techno, blues and some Cuban Jazz. I enjoy bluegrass, 80's alternative, 90's rock, Classic Rock. So many generes.
Books, House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielowski. Who Moved My Cheese? I aso enjoy reading about science, new discoveries, technology, and history.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my story about growing up as a maternal twin. My sister and I are close but miles away, we have similarities and differences but we both come from a strong family that builds our bond as the years go by.
I am very open about sexuality, loving ones self and have an open mind about things people have never heard of or are willing to share.
