About Me

Hello. I'm new here. I'm Akshat. I am a student and I am learning chinese. I
stay in a hostel (separate room) in Jawaharlal nehru university and I would be glad to accommodate you if you are interested (preferably males, ladies aren't allowed to stay in the room).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a friend who now stays in Mumbai who has couchsurfed before. They said that it was a great experience as she has met many nice people who, otherwise, she couldn't have. Also, she was able to explore the city more than before.
Also, being a language student, I am able to appreciate the different cultures a bit more than other people. Also, we have a culture of ATITHI DEVO BHAVA- A guest is like a God. So i'll be glad to host and meet new people.

Interests

I like reading, mainly fiction, about philosophy and religion, like listening to music, sleeping, am a foodie, travelling, going out with friends, watching tv series and movies etc.

Music- no special genre. Whatever sounds good.
Movies- there are many. Almost all animated movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surviving the day.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching and learning is a lifelong process. Meeting new people and sharing experiences is a great way of learning. Experiences can be sweet as well as bitter. The former makes memories, latter teaches us carefulness. But in this process, we shouldn't generalise all people. I have read many bad experiences of foreigners here in delhi, for which I am truly sorry. But one shouldn't generalise all people in to the same category. Keeping mind open for more and new experiences the key, I'd say. Of course one should be a realist and shouldn't trust everyone, but still, one needs to relax a bit and let go of a bit apprehension and panic, in order to enjoy the journey.
