ABOUT ME

I love to travel. I have lived in Oregon, Arizona, Montana, and Alaska. I was born and raised in Oregon. I am a pilot. I love the outdoors, climbing, skiing, kayaking, fishing, rafting, and skydiving. My major focus right now is traveling though. In the last two years, I have done lots and lots of traveling, and it has gradually become the richest part of my life. My roots are currently in Alaska, where I fly airplanes for a living as a pilot. I hope to be traveling again this winter. Hopefully back to Europe and South America. Couch surfing has been a wonderful part of traveling, and I have met some incredible people. I hope to do more couch surfing, meet more people, and I would love to host some people here in Alaska this summer.

PHILOSOPHY

I just think it would be great, if the whole world would get to know each other. You could learn a lot, by sleeping on another persons couch. About their culture and lifestyles. Just let down your guard a bit, and be open to new ideas and cultures. The best education is traveling. It is a lifetime of learning.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've spent the last two years, doing lots of traveling, all over the globe, Europe, South America and Asia. I started couch surfing on my trip in Europe, and met some amazing people, had great times, and made some wonderful friends. I hope to do more in the future, and would love to host people, while I have a couch available in Alaska. I love Alaska, and the summers here are so beautiful. I would love to go out, and help you explore the state.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had all AMAZING experiences while couch surfing. And everyone that I have stayed with, has been excellent hosts. I started couch surfing about two years ago now, just as I started traveling. I spent almost three months traveling in Europe last spring, and met some of the best, most incredible, kindest people ever. And it made the whole traveling experience, so much more intimate. And gave me a chance to really see the places I went to, through the eyes, of the people who lived there. It was great.

Interests

I love traveling. My hobbies include skydiving, flying, hiking, skiing, fishing, kayaking and doing pretty much anything outdoors. I love to read, and spend time in coffee shops, reading and writing. I love live music. I play guitar and enjoying playing music. I enjoy art, history, and politics. I enjoy learning more about the world, people, cultures and life.

Music, Movies, and Books

If your coming to Alaska, read "Into the wild" by Jon Krakauer. Its one of my favorite books. Music: Bearfoot Bluegrass, Amos Lee, James Morrison, K'naan, Millow, lilly Allen, The Killers, Kings of Leon. Pretty much everything. Just love music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best things I've ever done, is live in Alaska and experience the lifestyle and culture there. Also, traveling is one of the most rewarding and eye opening experiences I have had. Traveling in S.E. Asia was a amazing experience which I will never forget. Jumping out of airplanes, is pretty damn awesome to.

Teach, Learn, Share

I mean, I am learning every day. If you share my couch, or I share yours, we will learn together, how to accept, be understanding, and live, and share together. What needs to happen more in the world.
