My name is Alex (you can call me al!), I'm an English teacher living in Madrid, when I can find a flat!

I come from Sheffield in the north of England, I used to work at a brewery before deciding to spend some time abroad.

I've lived in Madrid for just over a month, it's a great city full of awesome friendly people.

Also, there is a bit of a housing crisis in Madrid and I left it to the last minute to find a hostel, so I'm in a bit of a jam!

My favourite type of music tends to be your kind of 'indie rock' which is fairly generic, but I'm a fan of bands like The Strokes, Coral, Stone Roses, Arctic Monkeys.

Also a bit of a lover of old school/UK hip-hop and what ever else takes my fancy.
