Hello ! My name is AL, I'm an 40 years old artist from Montpellier in France, and I create black and white characters that I paint in different media, mainly in the public space, in France or abroad. This kind of Urban paintings is leading to connexions with the population in the area, to offer visual'stories and to bring a new look at the world around us, or simply trigger emotions !

Since 2015, i've created a nomad, artistic, and independant project named Vagabondages, than the main goal was to travel every summer in different countries/areas to meet the inhabitants, learn about their history and paint a visual in a place linked to their lifes. Paused in 2020 beacause of Covid, i start again this wonderful project today in Italy to meet you, and create new paintings on my way !

Meet you! And for this time, i need especially you to help to make my project alive !

The VAGABONDAGES project was set up in 2015 in France and Switzerland, and offered to individuals for welcoming me to their address to make a painting, a project built together. It enabled the realization of 16 works in various media and scattered locations, but most encounters, discoveries and unforgettable memories.

The 2016 VAGABONDAGES taked place in Balkans, no specific journey was planned for the start, just a first step in Osijek, in eastern Croatia. Subsequently, projects and destinations falled into places with meetings in the field.

Finally, i've visited 8 countries, met so many people, create new friendships, and 8 paintings by the way. You can read (french and english language) all the stories on my facebook page!

2018 was the edition about "cold war", focused on East Europa, from Praha to Moscow, passing by Berlin, Poland, Lituania, Lettonia, Estonia and Russia. This project has been built with locals' experiences, specific stories, Culture and History, and many faces too, to create paintings in every cities i've been too.

In 2019, i've traveled into France, along the "Atlantic'wall" to meet the last 2nd world war'witnesses, and paint on many walls, especially blockhaus, to keep memory alive and never forget about the past.

I had to stop this wonderful project in 2020, because of Covid'restrictions... And was quite busy these last years to start again...

BUT ! I miss so much these times, ways, painting, and especially meetings, so i hit the road again for a new edition named "Renaissance", all along Italy, for 3 months.
