I'm currently a Ph.D student and I wanna work in R&D, in power electronics. For the moment, I'm working the weight and volume reduction in static converters.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first experiences in CouchSurfing during summer 2007, as I was a counselor in a camp located in Oregon, USA. Indeed, we spent the week on the camp, had to go back home on saturday afternnoon and had to be back on sunday morning. As I was an alien, every other counselor invited me over the week-end, so that I almost surfed 10 different couches during my stay (2 and a half months). These experiences were all really awesome.

Interessen

I am fond of biking, hiking (particularly in the mountains of my little Island), skiing , as well as swimming, going to the beach, partying. I enjoy practicing sports like badminton, volley-ball or handball.
I like also to travel and want to discover the world as much as possible, to meet new people and other culture. Speaking of culture, I love cooking, particularly Creole meals.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

About music, I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Dire Straits, Jimi Hendrix, Blue Oyster Cult, The Police, U2, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, die Ärzte, and so many more ... Basically, good rock music.
I'm also a huge fan of Bob Marley. I enjoy listening to maloya (music from where I grew up), a bit of pop, blues and rap.

I like a dozen of films where Jean Reno acts (Subway, The big blue, Les visiteurs, The professional aka Leon, Ronin, Crimson rivers, wasabi, l'enquête corse, and some others...). I also enjoy watching action movies like The transporter 1 and comedy movies starring Jim Carrey or Eddy Murphy.

About litterature, I rarely read books now, but I enjoyed reading books from Jules Verne, Guy de Maupassant or Agatha Christie.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have seen a volcano eruption on the island where I used to live, with the lava crossing the road, and going into the ocean. Besides, we could be as close as 5 meters away from the lava. Amazing!
