My name’s Alaa (no not like the God, it’s actually spelled علاء), I grew up in Syria, mostly before the war, and have been in the UK for 12 years, living in 3 different cities.

I’m an engineer with lots of hobbies, I enjoy classical music, watching sports, trying to learn tennis very badly, going to the cinema and being absorbed in a movie, long deep conversations, long slow walks, being in nature, poetry - especially Arabic poetry
