Hello! :)

My name is Ana, I'm from Brazil, and I've lived in Manchester for the past 15 years. Before moving to the UK, I've also lived in Canada for a couple of (non-consecutive) years.

I'm a photographer with a day job supervising a rental of photography equipment department.

I'm interested in arts and culture, languages and travelling (surprise, surprise!). I'm also into music (jazz, bossa nova, MPB, samba, indie rock, and electronica) and dancing (forró, salsa, samba and tango - though I'm a beginner in some of these).

I'm extroverted and love being surrounded by fun people.

I'd be keen to explore some new places and meet kind, progressive locals to take me to the great spots only a local would know :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend recommended this to me, as she thinks I'd really like the experience, the exchanges and making (even more) friends. If I'm travelling solo, this could make for an even better adventure!

Interests

I enjoy going to gigs, museums and art galleries, quirky bars and nice places to dance (nothing too mainstream and cheesy, though!), world cinema, theatre, nice food, walking around beautiful places (or a mild hike - I'm not fit enough for anything too hardcore lol :'), petting fluffy and hypoallergenic dogs and connecting with interesting people over a pint or three.
