About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just finished a stint in Europe for half a year. Current mission is to get ready for Round 2 at some point in the future by working on a few foreign languages.
ABOUT ME
I'm typically a pretty laid back guy. I don't let things bother me much, and I tend to not stress out about anything. I hear that I'm reasonably talented at the euphonium, but I'd like to get a whole lot better. I just finished up a term at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, which was incredible. Even better what the fact that it gave me an excuse to explore Europe for 3 months before the start of my course. I'm a pretty spontaneous person, but maybe that's just because I hate planning. In the past that has made it a little difficult to CouchSurf because I didn't even know what country I was headed to next until the night before. I'm not really the wild and crazy type, and I don't typically enjoy that kind of stuff, but I'm glad to hang out with new people and try new things. I pretty much just like getting to know new people who can broaden my horizons a bit, which is why I love the idea of CouchSurfing.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a Christian, and I try to live accordingly. I'm not the type to shove my religion down some else's throat, however, and I'd love to hear what other people believe. That's part of the reason I love getting to travel and meet new people. Deep conversations are pretty awesome.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had a fantastic first experience in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland! Lack of planning prevented me from doing a whole lot more during my travels, and it hurt my wallet a bit as I had to keep paying for youth hostels. Haven't gotten a chance to host someone properly yet since I haven't had a real home for the last half year, and won't for the next half year either. Someday...

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a music major, but I'm surprisingly ignorant when it comes to pop culture and music. I enjoy most things, but as far as knowing the names of songs and artists, yeah, I'm terrible at that. It's your job to educate me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A couple months ago I travelled to Peru to work with street children there. It was a life-changing experience for me, as I saw incredible poverty, but also contentedness in the midst of all the pain and hardness. It made me realize how trivial most of my belongings are, and made me appreciate what many people have to go through just to survive. I've begun to consider moving to a place like that someday and helping those who are less fortunate than myself.
