My name's Alan, I'm the founder of a startup company that helps historians access non-digitized documents from around the world. I also act as one of the Co-Organizers for the Boston EdTech Meetup Group, which has over 2000 members.

In my spare time, I'm working on a project to use AR for the preservation of rare and historical documents by creating holographic versions of books. I do this because I believe that preserving archives by fighting entropy is a never-ending battle, and the world's most advanced technology can increase accessibility to our rarest artifacts while simultaneously preserving them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a Maryland resident that just got a new job at Panera Bread in Rockville (the one near the Dollar Store / MicroCenter) and I'm searching for a new apartment nearby. I'm hoping to use couch surfing to reduce my commute until I find long-term housing in January. Thanks!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2015 I solo-hiked 1,855 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain to Mt Washington in NH (my home state).
