Anyway
Quiet, non drinker, non smoker, non party person.
I spend most of my free time cooking, eating, hiking and gaming.
I'm a native Ithacian, and can know almost all the trails and waterfalls and parks in this area and would be happy to share that knowledge. I also know most of the restaurants. That being said, I've lived in this area most of my life to date and would like to travel more. I've managed to visit most of the continental united stated, but as far as foreign countries go have only been to Canada, Mexico, and Honduras. I would love to expand that list.
Kinda shy at first but once I get to know someone I'm very friendly.
And new friends are always a good thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Uh honestly I'm on here because my friend(who I was going to stay with) forgot he had something going on but I already took the time off of work, and was planning on being in nyc, so now I need to make alternate arrangements.
Im hoping this turns out well and lets me meet some new and interesting people. If thats the case I'll stay on here for new friends and to help facilitate future travel plans both for my self and for those looking to see the finger lakes.

Interests

Food.
I spend a good chunk of my time in the kitchen(particularly prone to making deserts when I get bored). If you have a really good dish feel free to say hi and share your insights.
Hiking, just being out in the sun, and being by the ocean also should show up on this list.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really listen to much music, although I am a trained singer (bit out of practice)
The only books I've read recently are cooks books. Browsing through getting ideas. I really should get back to pleasure reading.
Movie- hmm watchmen is definitely close to the top of my list. I dunno. movies for me depend heavily on my mood. I tend to lean scifi, and I actively avoid horror , thriller, and suspense movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gotten to play with some tame whiteface monkeys in Honduras. They were so cute, and it was really fun.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know this area inside and out. Been here for about a quarter century at this point. I know the trails, I know the varied waterfalls. I know the food.
Unless your asking about parties, or bars, in which case I have no clue.
Well and stakehouses. Chicken is the only meat I eat (yes that means no fish, shellfish etc).
