Après quelques années comme rédacteur et prof, je suis étudiant à nouveau (en littérature anglo-américaine). Je me rends régulièrement au Royaume-Uni. Passionné par les voyages, la photo et la musique, j'associe souvent les trois et j'ai la bougeotte. Je reviens ensuite "au pays" car cette région me convient bien à l'heure actuelle pour de multiples raisons. Je vis à Knoxville, TN, où j'enseigne quelques heures à UTK et où j'étudie.

After a few years working as journalist and teacher, I'm back to studying (English literature). I regularly go to the UK. Interested in travelling, photography and music, I go where I can when I can, basically ;p I then return home as my area is convenient for multiple reasons. Now, I am a student and I teach a few hours at UT, Knoxville, TN.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet new people, obviously! I'm a user of carpooling/ride sharing (often as driver and sometimes as passenger) and I like to meet new people randomly. I've been sharing that way for years and some people stay in touch, that's very nice.

AS AN HOST

I'll soon have my place around Lille and will be able to host one or two people, when I'm not busy or traveling, which is less the case nowadays as I'm back to studying. When I have the time, I can also give you a tour of Lille and around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met nice people in the USA and slept at a family in the Colorado, amazing to compare our ways of life. We are still friends, and I'm also friend with a French guy I met that way. CS have always been a nice experience, a good opportunity to meet open-minded people.

Je suis ici pour rencontrer de nouvelles têtes ! Je suis déjà un adepte du covoiturage, comme conducteur et parfois passager, et j'aime bien rencontrer des gens un peu "au hasard". Certains contacts restent avec le temps, ce qui est vraiment agréable, car CS crée du lien. Je compte dans mes amis grâce à CS un couple d'Américains et un autre Français.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach French of course xD I probably am not very gifted with my hands or anything, but please ask, we never know, I like to help :)
When someone comes around Lille, I try to share my knowledge of the area, way of living and interesting things to do, even my knowledge concerns more the cultural side of it (and especially music places). I know the cultural side of London pretty well too thanks to my regular getaways there, the more often to attend plays.
