Hi everyone, I'm Alan. I'm 34 and I'm from Córdoba, Argentina. I currently live in Ashford, an English town in the southeast, just 35 minutes away from London by train. I came to the UK in 2020, and I now work in a local secondary school teaching Spanish.

I'm a quiet, easy-going person who enjoys the balance of quietness at home and the adventure and spontaneity of the outdoors. I love music and I consider myself an enthusiastic (and primitive) guitarist! I'm still dreaming of being thrown back to the 60s or 70s one day but as always, it's a dream! I'm also fond of acoustic guitars, pedals, amps or gear in general so it's always a pleasure to exchange conversations about this stuff with people.

My very few experiences with surfers in Europe were great, so I now decided to open my place and meet travellers who are mainly visiting London, or just want to hang out for a while. I won't overload this post with restrictions/rules: surfers with good references, please do send your request to stay, stating very clearly your needs and we can discuss anything further. It may happen that, for personal reasons, I can't hang out that much with you, or I can't host you.

An inflatable mattress in a decent private room is ready for you to use (see the photos), alongside a shared kitchen and bathroom. Please bear in mind that I work in a school, and I live on school grounds: although I have my own entry/exit access to my flat, we need some guidance during school hours.

Unsure whether this is relevant to you or not: I'm a straight man but any person is very welcome to my place regardless of nationality, gender, sexual orientation or beliefs. A private room will be reserved for you, so you'll get yourself decent privacy.

A note: Like other members, I used to have many more positive references on my profile before, but I really don't know what happened with them. So, I hope that those few give you a hint about my previous experiences with travellers.

If you want to visit London during the day from Ashford, there are two trains. In both cases the prices are from 10am onwards. Early trains on weekdays are more expensive:

High speed trains to London St Pancras: 38min. Return ticket: £38.70
Slower train to London Bridge station: 1:10min. Return ticket: £28.70
