About Me

Hello! Canadian-born living in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

I am a Master's student in Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo. I'm a bit of a quiet person, but I love cracking jokes when I can! I'm definitely a geek/nerd - I don't party much at all. I love all things transportation (cars, planes, trains, buses, boats, you name it!).

I sing and I conduct choirs as well! Classical music has been something I've always enjoyed. I also love cooking and trying new foods (and wine!!!). I am a teacher at heart and love working with students when I can.

I've always loved travelling, and I believe the journey to a destination can be as much a joy as the destination itself. I love sightseeing, and you can do so much sightseeing as you move!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Growing up in Canada, I have always been fascinated by all the other cultures who surrounded me. What better way to experience another culture than by meeting folks from that culture! I love learning, and I hope to be able to learn more about others by Couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite bands are The Killers, The Bee Gees, Great Big Sea, and Pentatonix.
Favourite composers include Faure, Vivaldi, Eriks Esenvalds, John Williams
Movies: Home Alone, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark and Mean Girls (no shame in this, it's a great movie!).
Books, I loved The Da Vinci Code...in fact, all of Dan Brown's books are fun to read (accurate? well...).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I did in India was floating on a houseboat through the canals of Allepey in Kerala State! Such a neat way to experience the landscape!
