About Me

I'm originally from Scotland, although I'm currently living in Toulouse, France.

I consider myself an open-minded individual who is constantly looking for new life experiences. I generally think life is all about seeing and doing it for yourself; there are some things that TV and books just aren't substitutes for (but you all know that anyway!).

I'm generally quite out-going and up for a good time, although I wouldn't describe myself as crazy or anything like that. I love being in good company having good conversations over coffee, wine, beers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CS to meet the world!

Interests

Anything that gets me out into the great outdoors, nature and environmental issues (I would describe myself as an activist in the climate justice movement), exploring new places, peoples, and cultures, languages (French), reading a good book, movies, music, vegetarian cooking, yoga, and meditation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My all-time favourite artist is the singer and multi-instrumentalist Imogen Heap.

Films: I'm a sucker for Amélie Poulain.

Book: Life of Pi by Yann Martel. A simple story yet so full of hope.

I'm always open to new suggestions for the above!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?! I must say it was getting up close to wild elephant herds in Botswana.
