Hello! I’m Alana. Living in the beautiful city Groningen in the North of the Netherlands. I love (solo) traveling, learning, creating, getting inspired and meeting new people.

.I try to live a balanced life by taking good care of myself, caring for others, finding beauty in the little things and sometimes navigating the extremes.

I love spontaneous adventures and always seem to meet people when I’m out and about. But the joy of planning a trip is also great and I have been solo traveling for a few years now. I have many interests and lots of hobbies which bring me a lot of joy. Culture, good food, (making) art, reading, being outside, walking around town, going for coffee with friends, practicing yoga and meditation, going dancing..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

New on CS but not new to traveling, staying at peoples homes & workaways. Staying at someones house is such a nice way to dive deeper into a culture and it has enriched my travels.

2 movies that have made a big impact on me are La Belle Verte & Dances with Wolves. Also LOVE Outlander and costume dramas.

I read a lot, both fiction and non fiction and always multiple books at the same time haha. Currently reading the girl with the dragon tattoo and the Tell-tale brain.
