ABOUT ME

Open-minded, friendly, tidy, and outgoing with a good sense of humour! I love to hear others opinions and to compare stories! I spent almost 3 years (2012-2014) traveling around Europe having an amazing time, couch surfing, hitchhiking, working and just generally enjoying life. I was then home in Australia for a few months where i took the opportunity to host surfers. Spent a few weeks back in Europe (2015) and few weeks in the US before moving to Toronto, Canada where I lived and worked for just over the past year, After spending the winter months at a Ski Resort in Alberta I moved to Vancouver to look for work and spend the remaining 8 months of my working holiday visa. I've been backpacking around Canada, South East Asia, Western and Central Europe, Scandinavia, The Baltics and some parts of Eastern Europe and North Africa, I was also living, working and travelling in the UK.

I am fairly carefree, easy going, open minded and enjoy social interaction.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love couch surfing, I love meeting new people and being welcomed into new cultures! I've only hosted surfers a few times - both great experiences! I have surfed many couches around Europe and a few in the USA and Canada.

Also a quick notice, couch surfing should be about experiencing new cultures, sharing new experiences with new people and just generally lending a helping hand to those new to the city or fellow travelers, it is not a dating site and women (and men) should feel safe and comfortable when staying at a hosts house, not intimidated, pressured or uncomfortable.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed a lot in Germany and London as well as Denmark, The Netherlands, Scandinavia, Belgium and the Baltics. I have hosted back in my home town, in Australia.

Interests

I love travelling. Any kind of travel discussion gets me excited, I love meeting new people, exploring new places and engaging in new cultures. I'm also a fan of drama, stand up comedy, theatre, dogs (all animals), photography and yoga, I studied nursing and arts in Australia before trying to find something else that interested me too.. travelling for life?! I also enjoy charity work, volunteering and showing support for human rights, particularly minority rights.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most kinds of music.. indie rock and heavy metal are probably my favourite.
I enjoy movies, thrillers and comedy's are definitely my two favourite genres... although I'll watch almost anything.
And books... Any kind of travel or inspirational books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Pompeii ruins, Italy... awe inspiring, the scale alone is incredible. Highly recommended visit.
After riding camels to the camp I slept in a gorgeous sheeted tent among the sand dunes in the Sahara Desert in Morocco, never have I seen such a beautiful starry night!
Hitchhiked from Estonia to Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany to Netherlands, among other places this trip was just solely based on hitchhiking and couch surfing by myself - had an amazing time!

I love travelling and have a passion for charity. I love learning - I can find some interest in almost everything, especially different cultures and traditions, I love learning about new things, I think its wonderful! I believe everyone has something to teach and many things to learn.
