ABOUT ME

I'm left handed. My mom is adopted. I'm Southern, born and grown. I once aspired to be an actress. And a pediatrician. And a lawyer. But not at the same time. I'm a recovering myspace addict (I just take it one day at a time). I've lived in 11 different homes in my lifetime (and those are the ones I remember). I actually OWN the house I live in now, which is kinda awesome. I like holding hands. I love being silly. I went to Thailand. It was probably the most amazing experience of my life thus far. I want to go to Brazil. And Africa. And France.. I'd probably go to Paris (but really just the Louvre). I ran away to the North for a few years after high school. I'm now back down below the Mason-Dixon. I am just like my mother (even the parts I don't like). My fondest memories from childhood were spent with my grandparents in Boone, NC. My grandfather was the ORIGINAL Papa John. I miss him. My brother will be 22 this year..that blows my mind. I used to beat him up. Now he's almost a foot taller than me. My dad owns his own company. I'm a Daddy's Girl in every sense of the word. I like reading about politics. I love engaging discussion and debate about politics. I'd never want to be in politics. I started drawing and painting again. I've learned there's some people in my life that I truly can't live without and others I simply don't want to live without. I changed majors 4 times. I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. I refuse to decide just yet. I have 4 tattoos. I think I'm done.. for a while at least. I'm oddly obsessed with studying religions (mostly eastern). I'm strong in my beliefs but I don't care much for organized religion. I love counter cultures even though I claim no such group.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this project, but I look forward to meeting up with and showing members around Raleigh and potentially hosting members once my space and time allows me to. Currently I am living in a two bedroom house with 4 people (myself, my husband, our newborn, and my grandmother), so space is not accommodating at this time.. but I hope to be able to host soon! I also would love to couchsurf sometime soon, but again, this will only happen once time allows (and my daughter is a bit older so that I can feel comfortable with traveling without her:))

I have tons of interests, some of which I mentioned in my "About Me"... I enjoy learning as much as I can about just about anything, so anything that can help me in this quest is an interest of mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Thailand for 40 days. It was one of the most exhilarating, educational, eye-opening, enlightening experiences I could have ever had. I LOVE to travel and Thailand is by far one of the most amazing places I've traveled and been able to enjoy.
